The Pinder
WorkshopWorks on its own, within what you allow
Finds stray processes and the ports they hold.
The ones that outlived the session that started them, hold a port, or burn CPU for minutes on end.
The pinder kept the manor's pound, where stray animals were held until they were claimed.
The Pinder has two hires. With Workshop, Pinder takes the office and Shepherd keeps working behind it.
What's new
Every release0.5.0
A shorter Settings page, and a tour for new hires.
What's new
- A tour. When Manor hires the Pinder it offers its tour: what it does, when a leftover process counts as a stray, then its page, section by section. Open it again any time at
#/tour. - The manor's page frame. The title bar, on and off duty, the theme and Back to Manor are the same as on every agent's page, and Run now is in the title bar.
What changed
- Settings is short. It shows when an orphan and a runaway count as strays, and the allowlist. The round interval, the CPU threshold and sample, the lists of runtimes, launchers and parents, the extra agent ports, the shared servers and the notes per round are under Advanced.
- Impounding works as before: tick the strays, then Impound the ticked ones.
Before you update
- Nothing: it updates itself as usual. Your settings are kept, the round interval and notes per round included.
