The Lamplighter has two hires. On an everyday PC the Watchman takes the office, on a gamer's PC the Lamplighter does, and the other keeps working behind it. Both are in Household.

What's new

Turn on its guard once (Windows asks for an administrator): it keeps System Protection on, so Windows keeps restore points, and makes one every day the newest is older than a day.
See what Windows Update installed lately, and remove an update that broke something.
Put Windows back as a restore point had it, from a day before the trouble started. Your files stay as they are.
Make a restore point yourself, before you try something.
Nothing changes until you press a button, and Windows asks for an administrator each time.

Before you update

Nothing: turn the guard on from its page when you hire it.

Installing

Castellan installs and updates it by itself. To install it by hand, unpack the zip anywhere and run node src\cli.ts install (Node 22.18 or later). SHA256SUMS.txt lists its SHA-256 (PowerShell: Get-FileHash).
