Read a finding#

Open the Surveyor's page (Open on its card in Castellan), or Repairs in Castellan. Problems come first, then warnings; notes are folded away.

Each finding shows:

  • What it's about: Castellan, the PC, or an agent.
  • When it was first seen.
  • Its evidence: the lines or values it rests on, as read.
  • Its fix, when there is one: a step, or a command with Copy.
  • What the evidence says, when the local AI has summed it up, labelled as its summary, not a finding.

Fix it#

  1. Read the fix. A step says what to do; a command is for PowerShell.
  2. Press Copy, and paste it into PowerShell. The Surveyor never runs it for you.
  3. Wait. Within 5 minutes the Surveyor looks again, and a finding that has cleared moves under Cleared since the round. Run now checks everything at once.

Explain, on a problem or warning with no known fix, asks the local AI to sum up its evidence.

Dismiss one you live with#

Some findings are true, and fine: OneDrive not running, because you don't use it, say.

  1. Press Dismiss on it, and confirm.
  2. It leaves the counts, Castellan's Repairs and the daily report.

It stays dismissed while it lasts as it is. If it clears, or gets worse (a warning becoming a problem), it's shown again. Dismissed findings are folded under Dismissed, each with Show again.

Dismiss all, beside the Findings heading, dismisses every problem and warning shown, after one question. Show all again undoes it.
